According to Reuters, Korean Air has said to the outlet that it will consolidate all of its low-cost carriers (LCC) it will own after finalizing the merger with Asiana into Jin Air. This means the Air Busan and Air Seoul-brands are set to disappear from the aviation scene. The move was already expected when the merger was announced but is now confirmed. It's expected that the Asiana-Korean Air merge will be finalized later this year, or early next year.

Air Busan was established by Asiana Airlines in August 2007 as Busan International Airlines. It was rebranded into Air Busan in February 2008. Today, it operates a fleet of five Airbus A320s, eight A321s, and eight A321neos.

Air Seoul was also launched by Asiana Airlines but in April 2015. It has a fleet made-up of six A321s.

Korean Air established Jin Air in January 2008. It's currently the country's largest LCC and operates a fleet of nineteen Boeing B737-800s, five B737-8s, three B737-900s, and four B777-200ERs.
