Luxair orders E195-E2s

Luxair is continuing the renewal of its fleet and has announced on 11 October 2023 that it has reached an agreement with Embraer for an order for the E195-E2. The airline has placed a firm order for four aircraft and also secured options and purchase rights for another five. If needed, it can also decide to convert (part of) the options into E190-E2s. Deliveries are due to begin in the final quarter of 2025.

Earlier this year, Luxair announced it had selected the Boeing B737MAX to renew its fleet. In total, the airline has ordered four B737-7s and four B737-8s directly with Boeing, as well as leasing two B737-8s via Pembroke. These latter two joined the fleet in July and September this year.

Next to these two MAX8s, Luxair's fleet consists of four B737-700s, four B737-800s, eleven DHC-8-400s, and two wet-leased ERJ190s from German Airways.
