Luxair takes delivery of 1st B737MAX

2 July 2023 is a happy day for Luxair, as the airline took delivery on this day of its very first Boeing B737MAX. The B737-8 is registered LX-LBL (64607), and arrived at Luxembourg from Ostrava where the aircraft had been prepared since March 2023. The airframe was previously in use with Air Italy but had been stored since March 2019.

The MAX8 is leased from Pembroke and the first of two that the airline will lease this year. Luxair also has orders directly with Boeing for four B737-7s, and four B737-8s, which it will use to replace its current fleet of four B737-700s and four B737-800s.
