Lynx Air to cease operations

Canadian ultra low-cost airline Lynx Air has announced it has filed for creditor protection with the Canadian court and that it will cease all operations effective 26 February 2024. The airline is citing "rising operating costs, high fuel prices, exchange rates, increasing airport charges and a difficult economic and regulatory environment" as the reason for its collapse.

Lynx Air was founded in November 2021 and launched operations a year later. It was based at Calgary and the fleet consisted of nine Boeing B737-8s.
