Mesa Air Group plans to add ES-19

The Mesa Air Group has announced it has decided to invest in Heart Aerospace and also plans to to add 100 ES-19s. The all electric ES-19 is currently being developed and will be able to fly nineteen passengers over a distance of 400 km. Deliveries to customers is planned to begin in 2026.

Mesa is interested in the regional aircraft as it has much lower operating costs and will able the airline to reopen and reconnect with communities it previously served. The company was once the world's largest operator of nineteen-seat aircraft and has valuable experience in operating them, which will benefit Heart Aerospace in the further development of the ES-19.

Mesa currently operates a fleet of 64 CRJ900s (of which 57 for American Eagle), 80 ERJ175s (for United Express) and two B737-400SFs and one B737-800F (for DHL).
