More Chinese airlines sign for the C919

More airlines have announced commitments to the COMAC C919, following the news of Air China ordering 100.

First, Suparna Airlines has announced its intention to replace its current passenger aircraft fleet of ten Boeing B737-800s with the the type. The aircraft are coming out of the 30 aircraft strong-order that parent Hainan Airlines has with COMAC. The plan is to have the fleet renewal completed by 2027.

The other airline announcing the C919 is China Southern Airlines. Similar to Air China, the airline announced in a stock exchange filing that it has ordered 100 C919s. Deliveries are scheduled between 2024 and 2031.
