NetJets and Textron Aviation sign massive Citation-agreement

Textron Aviation and NetJets have announced on 20 September 2023 that they have signed a massive agreement for new Cessna Citation-aircraft. In total, the deal is for 1,500 new bizjets. The Citations involved are the Citation Ascend, Citation Latitude, and Citation Longtitude, which makes NetJets the first fleet-operator ordering Cessna's newest family member.

NetJets expects deliveries to start in 2025 and is planning to take delivery of 100 new bizjets per year, for a period of 15 years. The new Cessna's will be deployed across all NetJets-branches around the world.

The Citation Ascend is a further development of the Cessna Citation XLS+, which was a further development of the Cessna 560XL. The Ascend has a modified wing, a new Garmin G5000 cockpit, and Pratt & Whitney PW545D engines. It can seat up to 12 passengers and fly up to 3,800 km. It was officially launched during this year's European Business Aviation Convention and Exhibition (EBACE) at Geneva in May 2023.

Since the establishment of NetJets, the bizjet company has taken delivery of more than 800 Cessna Citations.
