NetJets places large order at Embraer
On 11 May 2023, Embraer announced that they signed a large deal with NetJets worth almost USD 5 billion. The deal is for up to 250 Preator 500 corporate jets, of which the first is expected to be delivered in 2025. NetJets, the world largest operator of private jets, was in the running for an additional type to its midsize-fleet.
The Embraer Preator 500 can seat up to nine passengers and has a maximum range of 6,186 km. The Praetors are not the only Embraers in NetJets' fleet as the company also operates the Phenom 300/E.
NetJets/NetJets Europe's-fleet is currently made up of ten different types:
- Light cabin (up to 6 passengers): Phenom 300/E
- Midsize cabin (up to 8 passengers): Citation XLS, Citation Latitude, Citation Sovereign
- Super-midsize cabin (up to 9 passengers): Challenger 350
- Large cabin (up to 12 passengers): Falcon 2000EX EASy (10), Challenger 650 (12)
- Long-range cabin (up to 14 passengers): Global 5500 (13), Global 6000 (13), Global 7500 (14)
