New electric aircraft manufacturer start-up: Venturi Aviation
At a presentation at Teuge Airport, near Deventer in the Netherlands, a new start-up electric aircraft manufacturer was presented to the world. The company is called Venturi Aviation and it also unveiled the plans to design and produce the Echelon 01.
The Echelon 01 will is planned to be 44-seat, 38 meter long and 36 meter wide electric aircraft with eight propellors. It will be able to fly up to 550 km, which would be sufficient range to replace 15% of all flights in Europe with a zero-emission option. The aircraft is planned to have a changeable battery, so that the aircraft can be updated quickly when new and more efficient batteries are introduced. Venturi will also plans to establish a network of charging stations at airports in Europe, which will enable the Echelon 01 to recharge fully in 35 minutes.
Venturi Aviation plans to have the aircraft in the sky in 2030 and has sucessfully completed raising an intitial round of investments. However, to be able to realize the plans, the company is looking for more investments.
