New off shore contract for NHV Group

Despite strong competition in the field of oil rig support, the NHV (Noordzee Helicopters Vlaanderen) Group has been able to secure a new long-term contract with Neptune Energy. Under the initial eighteen months agreement, the company will provide H175 flights in support of the development of Neptune’s offshore Seagull Field in the North Sea.

Flights will take off from NHV’s base in Aberdeen to transport passengers to the drilling rig. NHV started operating out of Aberdeen at the beginning of 2016 and announced the opening of a new hangar, apron and passenger handling facilities in October 2016.

The NHV Group which originates from Ostend, Belgium, was the global launching customer of the Airbus H175. The first two helicopters of the type entered into service in December 2014. As a so-called Super Medium type the 8 ton H175 is specifically designed to meet the evolving mission needs in the oil and gas industry.

NHV currently operates nine H175B helicopters under British registration:

G-NHVA (5024)
G-NHVE (5007)
G-NHVF (5005)
G-NHVG (5008)
G-NHVI (5010)
G-NHVJ (5026)

G-NHVR (5033) G-NHVU (5004) G-NHVV (5002)
