Today, the Paris Air Show had orders for Boeing, and they confirmed that Air Algérie put in an order for eight fuel-efficient 737-9 MAXs. The Algerian flag carrier also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for two 737-800 Boeing Converted Freighters (BCF) to meet increasing cargo demand in the region.

Air Algérie operates a single-aisle fleet of more than thirty 737-500s, 737-600s and 737-800s. Adding the 737-9 allows the airline to carry more passengers, increasing profitability within its network. With added capacity and increased profitability, the 737-9 is designed to serve 193 passengers in a two-class configuration with a range of 3,300 nautical miles.

Next in line was China Airlines which firmed up options for eight Boeing 787-9s. The Taiwanese carrier also converted six of its existing orders to the larger 787-10 variant, which brings the total number of 787s it has on order to 24. The aircraft will replace China Airlines' aging Airbus A330-300s. Boeing China Airlines 320

Boeing's largest order came from the aircraft lessor Avalon, with its order for forty Boeing 737-8 MAXs. Avolon works with around 150 customers across the world, and at this stage it is not yet known where the aircraft will end up, but the company's CEO did make a direct reference to the Indian carrier Akasa Air, as one of the aircraft's potential operators.

El Al announced it had signed a lease-agreement with AerCap for two more B787-9s, which are planned for delivery in the final quarter of 2025 and the first quarter of 2026.

Air India firmed its earlier announced order for 190 B737MAXs, twenty B787-9s, and ten B777-9s. The airline also secured options for fifty more B737MAXs and twenty B787s.
