PIA seeks to lease up to 8 narrowbody aircraft

PIA has issued a Request For Proposal in which the airline seeks to lease up to eight narrowbody aircraft. According to the RFP they want to add aircraft that are not older than 12 years and seat over 170 passengers in a single-class configuration. The goal is to lease the planes for six years and PIA would like to take delivery of them between January and December 2021.

Currently, PIA has a narrobody-fleet that consists of eleven A320s, which are also all leased. It's unknown if the new planes are intended for expanding the fleet, or to replace some of the current fleet.
