RwandAir adds first dedicated freighter

On 24 November 2022, RwandAir welcomed its first dedicated freighter. The aircraft, B737-800BCF 9XR-WW (35131) arrived on this date at the airline's base at Kigali after a ferry-flight from Kelowna in Canada, with stops at Reykjavik and Athens.

RwandAir is planning to deploy its freighter on flights within Africa, focusing mainly on Johannesburg and Nairobi as well as to the United Arab Emirates.

Next to this B737-800BCF, the airline operates a fleet of one Airbus A330-200, one A330-300, two B737-700s, four B737-800s, two CRJ-900s and two DHC-8-400s.
