Silk Way West new B777-8F customer

On 10 November 2022, Silk Way West Airlines became Boeing's latest customer for its new B777-8F. During a special ceremony at Boeing's Delivery Centre at Seattle (WA), both companies signed a firm order for two B777-8Fs. The airline also took options on another two aircraft. No delivery timeline has been communicated for the two jets, that were previously booked as undisclosed by Boeing.

Silk Way West Airlines, part of the SW Group, is currently an all-Boeing operator and has a fleet of seven B747-400Fs and five B747-8Fs. As part of its fleet renewal programme, the airline ordered five B777Fs in April 2021 but also two A350Fs in June this year, breaking with the all-Boeing operation.
