Silver Airways to add cargo aircraft
According to CargoFacts, Florida-based Silver Airways is set to enter the dedicated cargo flying market by adding ATR42-500(F)s. The first aircraft are set to be based at Fort Worth-Alliance (TX) and operations are due to start in September 2021.
Not only is the all-cargo business new for the airline, basing the ATR-freighters in Texas also means a big jump for the company as the airline is now based at Fort Lauderdale (FL) and flies only to destinations within Florida as well as to the Caribbean. Silver Airways currently has a fleet of seven ATR42-600s, four ATR72-600s and seven Saab 340Bs.
