SmartLynx to add B737-8s
ACMI-specialist SmartLynx has signed a lease-agreement with SMBC Aviation Capital for two B737-8s. The duo is planned to be delivered in the coming weeks already and marks a new step for the company as the airline is currently an all-Airbus operator. It's currently unknown which two airframes are involved in the lease-agreement.
SmartLynx, which is from Latvia, also has subsidiaries in Estonia and Malta. It currently has a fleet of 18 A320s, seven A321s, one A321PCF, one A321P2F, and six A330-300s. The company is also set to take delivery of one additional A320, one A321 and two more A321PCFs in the coming period.
