TAAG to renew fleet with B787s

On 10 October 2023, Boeing and TAAG Angola Airlines announced that the airline is set to renew its widebody fleet by ordering the Dreamliner. In total, the airline is ordering four B787s: two B787-9s and two B787-10s. Deliveries are beginning in 2024.

The fleet of TAAG currently exists of one Airbus A330-200 (wet-leased from HiFly Malta), six B737-700s, three B777-200ERs, five B777-300ERs, and six DHC-8-400s. TAAG earlier secured orders and leases for fifteen A220-300s to replace its short- and medium range fleet.
