On 30 January 2025, TAAG saw the arrival of its first Boeing B787. The aircraft, B787-9 D2-TEQ (66877), arrived non-stop from Seattle-Paine Field (WA) at Luanda's new António Agostinho Neto Airport. This airport, which has been under construction for 20 years, is set to open in March and will replace the city's current Quatro de Fevereiro Airport.
TAAG is busy renewing its fleet and has ordered a total of four B787s (two B787-9s and two B787-10s), as well as fifteen Airbus A220-300s.
Today, the airline's fleet is made-up of one A220-300s, eight B737-700s, one B737-800BCF, three B777-200ERs, five B777-300ERs, one B787-9, and six DHC-8-400s.
