Tunisair to acquire 5 A320neos and retire older aircraft
As part of its post-Corona-plan, Tunisair will go through a reorganization that will see cutting unprofitable routes, rightsize and modernize its fleet and consequently cutting staff as well. The goal is to be profitable again by 2024.
The airline is planning to retire all aircraft older than 20 years, which are three of their four A319s, eight of their fifteen A320s and all their seven B737-600s. At the same time Tunisair will lease or acquire five new A320neos, which are planned for delivery between 2021 and 2023 to bring in new blood to the fleet.
