T'Way Air plans for B777-300ERs
According to CH-Aviation, T'Way Airlines is set to introduce an unspecified number of Boeing B777-300ERs into its fleet from the start of next year's summer season. The plan is to operate at least two of the type from April 2025 on flights between Seoul-Incheon and Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Rome-Fiumicino.
The source of the B777-300ERs is currently unknown but according to local Hong Kong spotters, at least two former Cathay Pacific aircraft are set to move to South Korea.
T'Way Air launched flights from Seoul-Incheon to Europe last summer. It's expansion to these destinations is part of routes Korean Air and Asiana have been forced to withdraw from as part of their merger. Since May 2024, T'Way took over five Airbus A330-200s from Korean Air to operate its new flights to Barcelona, Frankfurt, Paris-Charles de Gaulle, and Rome-Fiumicino.
Currently, T'Way's fleet is made-up of five A330-200s, three A330-300s, 27 B737-800s, and two B737-8s. The airline holds lease-agreements with Avolon for five A330-900s, which are scheduled for delivery from 2026 onwards. It also plans to operate a total of 20 B737-8s by 2027, although no lease-agreements or orders have been publicly announced for this (yet).
