US-Bangla Airlines expands with A330s
US-Bangla Airlines has announced on 26 July 2023, that it has signed a lease-agreement with Avolon for the lease of its first widebody aircraft. The airline's fleet will be expanded with two Airbus A330-300s, which the airline plans to use on new routes to destinations in the Middle-East like Bahrain, Dammam, Dubai, Jeddah, Kuwait City, and Riyadh.
The A330-300s involved are MSN 1445, which is currently registered as 9H-POP and previously used by Hi Fly Malta and currently being prepared at Guangzhou. The second one is also being readied at Guangzhou and is MSN 1527, which was in use with Cebu Pacific as RP-C3344. Both aircraft are expected to be delivered in September 2023.
US-Bangla Airlines started operations in 2014 and is Bangladesh' largest privately owned airline. It's currently operating a fleet of nine ATR72-600s, and eight Boeing B737-800s. It's also in the process of retiring its two final DHC-8-400s with one more ATR72-600s.
