Uzbekistan Airways launches LCC

Uzbekistan Airways has launched its new low-cost subsidiary as announced by the airline in April. The new airline is called Uzbekistan Express and will launch with two A320s coming from the mainline. Later, two additional A320s will be added.

The A320s will be reconfigured to feature an all-economy class lay-out, seating up to 174 passengers. Uzbekistan Airways will launch with domestic and international destinations, focusing mainly on tourism routes. The first destination from Tashkent is Moscow-Domodedovo, later it plans to also serve Aktau,  Aktobe, Ekaterinburg, Kazan, Krasnodar, Mineralny Vody, Novosibirsk, Rostov and Sochi.
