Vietnam Airlines looking to lease A320neos
Vietnam Airlines has announced it will issue a Request for Proposal (RfP) to lessors, in which it seeks to lease Airbus A320neos. In total, the airline is looking to lease eight A320neos, with deliveries to commence in 2024 and would run for twelve years.
Currently, the airline is not operating any A320 but does have a sizable fleet of 45 A321s and 20 A321neos. In the past (between 1993-2014), the airline did operate a total of nineteen A320s.
Next to the narrowbody Airbuses, Vietnam Airlines flies with fourteen Airbus A350-900s, eleven Boeing B787-9s, and four B787-10s.
