Virgin Australia orders additional MAXs

On 24 November 2023, Virgin Australia announced it has ordered additional MAXs with Boeing. In total, the airline is ordering six more B737-8s which will all be delivered in 2024.

With this latest order, Virgin Australia is bringing its total number of ordered MAX8s to fourteen. Next to the MAX8, the airline also has orders for 25 B737-10s. It took delivery of its first B737-8 in June 2023. In total, Virgin Australia's fleet is comprised of nine B737-700s, 75 B737-800s, and three B737-8s.
