Western Global Airlines mulling B777F-cancellation
Reports from various financial and cargo news websites, including Cargo Facts, are reporting that Western Global Airlines is mulling the cancellation of its two Boeing B777Fs it has on order. The cancellation is the result of the airline receiving a downgrade by Fitch late February, and by Moody late last month. Both financial companies are worried about the financial position of Western Global and that they have too much capital exposure for the future.
Western Global ordered the duo at Boeing in February 2022 and the two were the first new built aircraft ever to be ordered by the company. The airline has a fleet of four B747-400Fs (two parked), and seventeen MD-11Fs (eight parked).
