I`ve stayed at the Grand Inn Come Hotel and now the Phoenix within the last 2 years. I would favour the Phoenix for any future visit.

Grand Inn Come Hotel Good points...
Great view over both runways allowing all aircraft to be seen.
Good size room with chairs.
Shuttle bus (from memory payment is required for the return journey to airport)
7-11 nearby for drinks/snacks.
Good wi-fi

Bad points...
Not good for pictures due heat haze and distance.
Air conditioning is ==censored==.
Breakfast not very inspiring.
Restaurant not brilliant.

Phoenix Hotel Good points...
Air conditioning is good.
Roof terrace is good for viewing aircraft and open 24/7. (Also has shade)
Photography good from the roof if landing correct way.
Food in cafe/restaurant is very nice.
Breakfast acceptable.
Free shuttle bus.
Probably more scope for eating outwith this hotel.
7-11 nearby for drinks/snacks.
Good wi-fi

Bad points...
Room pretty small.
No seats/chairs so you have to sit on the bed.
Only a small balcony to see aircraft arrive/depart.
No lift.
