A Southwest Airlines Boeing 737-700, flight WN-4695 from Islip,NY to Tampa,FL (USA) with 129 passengers and 6 crew, had pushed back onto taxiway S and was cleared to taxi to holding point runway 06 via S and A.

The aircraft was taxiing along taxiway S, when the aircraft skidded right off the taxiway just prior to taxiway A at 06:22L (11:22Z).

No injuries occurred, however all gear went off paved surface onto soft ground.

The crew called tower stating "We just made your day very exciting ... " reporting they had skidded right off the taxiway and requested a tow to get them back onto paved surface.
