The Lufthansa Group presented the new name and corporate identity of Eurowings Discover on Tuesday. The leisure airline, similar to the Swiss Edelweiss, is now called Discover Airlines to make the distinction with Eurowings clearer.
Discover Airlines flies from Germany to holiday destinations, both in Europe and intercontinental. The airline has 10 Airbus A320s and 12 A330s. On long-haul flights, the company also offers Business Class and Premium Economy.
It is therefore not a fully-fledged low-cost carrier, unlike Eurowings, although Discover does have a lower cost base than parent company Lufthansa. Discover mainly competes with Condor, while Eurowings is intended to keep EasyJet and other low-cost carriers out.
