First Transavia A321 delivery postponed/now a new date

Post by YS11 »

The welcome party for Transavia's first Airbus A321neo, which was scheduled for next Thursday, has been cancelled. The aircraft, which was supposed to arrive at Schiphol on 7 December, was damaged, which caused the delivery date to be postponed.

"Unfortunately, we have been informed today by Airbus that, due to damage to our new Airbus, the delivery of the aircraft has been postponed," a spokesperson for Transavia told Aviation News. The damage was sustained at the factory in Hamburg.

A new delivery date is being determined, but the December 7 event has been canceled.

TRANSAVIA SETS NEW DATE FOR WELCOME PARTY FOR FIRST AIRBUS A321NEO

Transavia has a new date for the arrival of the first Airbus A321neo. The aircraft was initially supposed to arrive at Schiphol on 7 December, but due to damage sustained in the factory in Hamburg, the party had to be postponed.

According to the new schedule, the A321neo will now arrive on Tuesday 19 December around 15:00. According to a spokesperson, an attempt is being made to have the aircraft stop at one of the spotting sites after landing, to give enthusiasts the opportunity to capture the aircraft on camera.

Transavia hopes to deploy the new A321neo before the end of the year. There are 232 seats on board the type at Transavia.
