Hello,

Next week I'm going to France and I stop at Cambrai. Is it allowed to take pictures of some planes?

Yes it is. If you check the airfield guide you'll find that outside the base, and as long you are not near the fence, there are good photo opportunities. French police however may visit you and check your ID, perhaps even send you away if they have reasons to do so. However, I've had this experience only once, and that was when I was close to the fence on the Northern side, on the old dispersals...

We were checked by the police, they were very comprehensive but told us that we were not allowed to take pictures of the fighters. Fortunately, it was at the end of the day.

I was in Saint Dizier this year and the police told us that taking pictures of fighters in the air is abolutely no problem. They left after a little ID check via Interpol.
