(notes: after almost half a year of military aircraft abstinence due to lack of major aviation events and TLP courses I had discovered that military aviation still is and will stay THE hobby of my life. Therefore, I used a day of very good spring weather coincidencing with the first scheduled flying day of a CSAR exercise for the first trip to Belgium since the previous December.
Soon after arriving at Florennes by early afternoon, activity on the TLP ramp began with ground crew, special forces and pilots arriving and preparing their airframes for the mission. Luckily, within one hour, not only all 12 visiting helicopters but also two supporting AMX’ plus some based F-16s became airborne.
This kind of impressive activity was completed by recoveries of all participating and based aircraft, while a pair of A.109s were witnessed flying back to Bierset at late afternoon. A display rehearsal of a fourth based F-16s was a welcome conclusion of this small but very interesting and successful log of this unforgettable afternoon at “Superbase” Florennes!)

I would go in week 3 or 4 when I were you, now you will miss some aircraft that will also come to the TLP!!!

In week 3/4 these are also to expect:

2 Italian F-16
2 Spanish Hornet
2 Turkish F-16

Yes they use the secondary runway.

Today departures were to the east, best spot for pictures is at the crashgate near the farm. Don't go into the meadow, it's not allowed and you will be to close!! They did turn a little bit over right today.

Arrivals is a different thing. Also using the secondary runway, arriving seems to be from the north every time, overflying the quary. Some turn inside the field boundaries, other fly a wider patern. One Mi.24 arrived late today and flew straight to the TLP platform.

they "taxyed" (hovered) from the TLP ramp to the secondary runway and departed against the wind direction, allowing for good spotting and enjoying action from the south-east corner of the base fence but against the light. The helos then flews in Southern direction.

They returned from the North and might have allowed for taking some decent pictures from the western side of the airbase, however they turned in very tight.

To recap, the event is more convinient for spotters and/or action enthusiasts like I am, but dedicated photographers might be dissappointed ...

They are parked in the shelterarea. Same shelters as were the Czech Grippens and British Typhoons were parked at the western end of the airfield.

AMXen are parked in the shelter area to the west.
Today mission was flown.
Including E-3A LX-N90453 who operated out of Florennes from the North Side as NATO10.
EH101 2-06 made a circuit in the morning and a circuit in the evening but did not partipate.
All other aircraft did.

Arrival was from the north with some aircraft proceding directly to the beginning of 08R ( no good for pictures ), while others made a beeline ( better for pictures but still quite high ). IP point was Mattem?

A109BA H29 operated from the north as BAr829 and left with another A109BA as BAr821.

SF260 ST-31 made two approaches, morning as Archship?29 and afternoon as Archship 37.

Stinger 11 performed his show.

LH01 FA117 and LH02 FA126/FS made a QRA and quite some approaches while being fully armed.

Almost forgot the LB05 who came in around twelve.
