Hi all,

Hope someone in the know can help on two counts.

Am planning a trip from here (Scotland) to take in the 50th Ann Jb32 at Lechfeld and then to Spangdahlen the next day (or next). Is there any further confirmation of this event actually being held?

Second count is amusing. In order to find out if Spang is having an event, I went to the 52FW site and found the Public Affairs e-mail address. I sent an e-mail to the Public Affairs at 52FW and received the response that "You do not have permission to send to this recipient".

My second query is whether security is so tight now with USAFE that you need permission to send an e-mail to the Public Affairs office????

Any help on either issue is appreciated.

@Rick, I don't think they mean it that way. Since their e-mail address is on a public website, they probably receive a lot of junk mail from spam bots. My guess would be that they've installed a (bit too) strong filter to handle this.

Morning Patrick,

That was the conclusion I had come to also but I do not know what carries with my mails. I don't actually believe that they have that extreme form of paranoia but you will appreciate that it does appear a ludicrous position on bounce. This is why I noted it as amusing, and thanks for response.

Has anyone else managed to get a response from Spang on this subject?

Rick

airshow news Spangdahlem 26th july

Post by atla »

Hi, I asked the PR-officer for more details. He replied:

Greetings, The date has not been confirmed; however, it will be in July. Also, it's an open house, not an air show as there will be no aerial demonstrations. Finally, there will be no special days for media, tailspotters, etc. If you check our official web site (listed below) in the future, we'll have a release and details when available. Sorry to disappoint you, but the Belgian F-16 display won't be there, the poster on Flugzeugforum had simply misread the news on Milaviapress. Mickey will be in Sunderland that weekend.

Dear all,

Just had contact with the people organising this Open House, and tomorrow the complete prgramm will be released.

The asked me if I could put this on this forum, as they get "crazy" of people contacting all kind of offices and squadrons with the same request about participants.

As soon as the list is available, I let you know.

The ABDR A-10's won't be visible on this day (reffering to aquestion asked before on this forum)

regards
Dennis
