Polish Army Day, Warsaw, 15 Aug 2008

[Hermolaus]

On the 15 August there is a national holiday in Poland on the anniversary of the victorious battle in 1920 against Russian (Bolshevik) army (fought on the outskirts of our capital city - Warsaw). Due to the historical fact this is also a Polish Army Day.
There will be a military march-past/parade on this day in Warsaw (and also other ceremonies). Polish aviation will also take part in this parade.

Here is a full list of expected aircrafts:

Polish Air Forces:
- 7x F-16 from EPKS
- 3x MiG-29 from EPMM
- 4x Su-22 from EPSN
- 4x TS-11 from EPDE
- 7x PZL-130 from EPRA
- 1x An-26 from EPKK
- 2x C-295M from EPKK

Polish Land Forces:
- 4x W-3W
- 4x Mi-2

Polish Navy:
- 1x W-3 RM
- 1x SH-2G
- 1x Mi-14 PS
- 1x Mi-14 PŁ

Here are some shots from training.

What can be seen are:
- 4x TS-11 in "flag" formation with a trace of Polish national colours
- 4x F-16 in "diamond" formation
- 3x F-16 + 3x MiG-29 + 4x Su-22 in "delta" formation
- 1x An-26 + 2x C-295M in "chock" formation
- 3 formations of helicopters
- 7x PZL-130 (Orlik Aerobatic Team) in "chock" formation

PS. Sorry for writing so late - have been quite busy lately...
BTW. Could you tell me the proper names of those formations in English? I'm afraid I'm lacking apropriate terms...
