The number of appearances of the Apache given in the article gives me a feeling they mean appearances with the RAF Role demo, which is interested in Apache(s) getting involved.

Indeed. To be honest, having seen the AAC solo display by the Apache, it's not exactly something that can be called exciting, it can't be compared with the Dutch Apache demonstration from a few years ago.

There is, in a way. The British Apache doesn't do any loops or rolls anyway, it just flies back and forth, some steep turns and hovers.
Flares in the UK are allowed if it can be guaranteed that they burn up completely before hitting the ground. From what I gather, the flares that were used for the Dutch Apache display are guaranteed to do that, the F-16 one's are not. Not entirely sure on this however.

I once heard that the F-16's don't use F16 flares during their shows, but like smaller ones or something like that
Is that correct?
