United Airlines (UA) took ownership of their 1st B787 Dreamliner (B787-8) on September22nd 2012. The aircraft is the 1st of 5 new Dreamliners the airline expects to receive in 2012 from its total order for 50. UA are the 1st North American carrier to take delivery of the B787. UA are preparing to fly this week from Boeing Field in Seattle, to the airline's Houston hub to begin a month-long training and certification program including non-commercial flights to several of UA's domestic hubs. As the initial aircraft are inducted into the fleet, they will be based at UA's Houston hub and will enter into previously announced domestic service in November and international service in December. UA are planning to operate their inaugural B787 commercial flight from Houston to Chicago on November04th.
