The weird part is, that the rest of the website seems to be inactive.

According to topics on the web, Orbest will only seize long-haul flights.

What route is being used by the Dutch pax ?

Orbest operates flight from MAD to CUN in close cooperation with Air Europa. Both carriers have too little pax numbers to each operate a full A330 on the route, hence the cooperation.

Now that Orbest may be gone (although that would seem strange since its parent company is one of the largest touroperators in Spain), seems like Air Europa will need to find an alternative. Maybe route existing flights to the Caribbean via CUN?

Orbest is bankrupt... So no long-Haul, charters etc anymore (at least not operated anymore by Orbest).

Correct. Dutch Thomas Cook pax (Neckermann etc) fly with Air Europa from Amsterdam (AMS) to Madrid (MAD) en continue with Orbest Airlines to Cancun (CUN). Last season it was with Delta Airlines via Atlanta (ATL) , the season before that with AF via Charles de Gaulle (CDG). The season before that Thomas Cook uses Martinair Holland for flying their pax to Cancun (CUN). Dont know yet how the pax go there for now.
