On januari 4th I was on a flight with Etihad from Brisbane to Amsterdam. We made a stop at Abu Dhabi. While taxiing to the runway for part two of the flight I suddenly saw a military apron opposite the runway with five C-17's, three CN-235's and at least two C-130's. Could not reach my camera (because seatbelts fastened for take off) and mobile phone switched off, so no photo's. Now I know the UAE has six C-17's on strength (regs 1223 till 1228) and two on order (1229 and 1230). Does anyone know which five C-17's I've seen (or for example which one wasn't on the ramp that morning?) Would be a great help!!
