UK Defence Command Paper released today 22-03-2021

24 Typhoon T1 retired by 2025 (only 7 front-line squadron)
Hawk T1 retired (28 T2 will remain in service)
C-130J retired by 2023
E-3D retired and replaced by 3 E-7
Puma and other medium helos consolidated into single type replacement.
F-35 ...
Wallace says there will be more than 48 F-35s but he will not say how many. Sounds like the figure will be nowhere near 138

Seen today on its first flight was 19-5535 destined for the 354 FW. No other markings were observed. Also unknown at the moment is the c/n.

In addition AU-37 was noted as A35-037 (fms: 19-5510) in full 77 Sqn markings. First flight was most likely Saturday, Mar 20, 2021.

12-03-2021 F-35B VMX-1 mishap

The F-35B, capable of short takeoff and vertical landings, was conducting a nighttime close air support mission on March 12 on the Yuma Range Complex when a PGU-32/U Semi-Armor Piercing High Explosive Incendiary-Tracer (SAPHEI-T) 25mm round exploded after leaving the fighter's cannon, Marine Corps spokesman Capt. Andrew Wood confirmed to Military.com on Tuesday.

The mishap was labeled Class A, the most severe classification, indicating damage of at least $2.5 million or the loss of an aircraft.

Seen Mar 26, 2021 was 19-5534 without any markings.

Also after a long delay ROKAF F-35A's AW-25/28 (20-025/20-028) delivered as Zesty 91/4, March 26, 2021. Initially planned for Hickam but the delay may have been due to tanker issues so they only went to Yuma on the first leg.

This means the USAF serials are after the Danish ones.

Given yesterday’s date & several details that do not match I’d say a foolsday joke. Nice one though.
For example: on a brand new painted airframe, the tailband would be complete. Also the rudders are not camouflaged....

F-35B 169787 was noted at NAS Fort Worth, Mar 31, 2021. Other than USMC markings it carried no other. Unsure on the the construction number. Could this be BF-114?

These were unconfirmed before so I didn't post them, but it seems that BF-113 and BF-114 are indeed 169786 and 169787. At least the latter is already flying.
