Australia's newest fighter plane, the Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II, could not be missed at the Avalon airshow. A nice touch is that Australia adorns their Lightning IIs with unit markings. See here is A35-009 with 3 Squadron markings. (Michiel Vermeer)

Updates: 11 April 2023, Richard Bradfield
The Royal Australian Navy (RAN) currently operates 24 MH-60R Seahawks in the naval combat helicopter role of which the "last" one, serial N48-024/(8)24 is seen here. The Seahawks are shore-based at HMAS Albatross, near Nowra (NSW) and serve with 725 and 816 Squadrons. In October 2021, the US State Department approved a possible Foreign Military Sale (FMS) to the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) for twelve additional MH-60Rs. (Michiel Vermeer)
