Armed Forces Day is celebrated as a national holiday on 26 June. Following Azerbaijan’s independence in 1918, the army was founded. As a consequence, ignoring the 72 years Azerbaijan was a republic of the USSR, 2018 saw its 100th anniversary. For this occasion a huge military parade (Azərbaycan hərbi parad) was held in downtown Baku, with the aircraft overflying Baku Bay from East to West.
Security was very tight with security personnel all around. The serials above were taken from footage shot through an open hotel room window...
Both Solo Türk F-16C 88-0029 and 88-0032 were deployed to Yevlax for the parade, whereas the Türk Yildizlari flew from Baku-Heydar Aliyev Intl Airport.
