The show marked a week of cultural celebrations in the city. Large numbers of attendees showed up for the event that took off with parachuting demonstrations by Aguila de Gules, the air force parachuting team. The mighty sounds of EMAVI’s very own Stearman and Beaver added to the historic ambiance of the moment. Flying from their home base Palanquero, two Kfirs and a Mirage thrilled the crowds and put on a very exciting low level show. A T-41 simulated a downed aircraft with two of its pilots being rescued by a C-SAR team, after which the dancing AH-60L Arpia IIIs brought ecstasy to the huge crowd. The Brazilian Fumaça team performed in the grand finale of a remarkable week of celebrations, which hopefully created a precedent for similar shows in Calí in the future.
