European Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition 2015

The annual EBACE at Geneva was held this year from 19 until 21 May and celebrated the event’s 15-year anniversary. The convention

once again underscored the show’s value and continuing importance to the aircraft industry’s advancement in Europe and

beyond. EBACE has had phenomenal growth in its 15-year history, this year featuring 500 exhibitors, nearly 60 aircraft on static

display and about 13,000 attendees from more than 100 countries. The exhibition floor and aircraft displays had lots of activity

and excitement, and the education sessions were informative and well attended. Debuts of this year’s show were the Embraer

Legacy 450, Cessna’s Citation Latitude and Citation CJ3+ business jets. It was a real pity the first Swiss built business jet Pilatus

PC-24 was not present at the static, for this aircraft made its first flight ever just over a week before EBACE. It will most certainly

be present next year. For aircraft enthusiasts, especially for business jets freaks, it was an El Dorado as always, with perfect photo

opportunities on the west and east side of the runway and business aircraft arriving and departing almost without a pause. With

only one runway and a clear view to a big part of the runway and taxiways from both ends of the runway you cannot miss a lot.

For the lucky ones who had access to the static, it was a unique opportunity to take pictures of the static aircraft or even making

use of the possibility to have a peep inside one or more of your favorite aircraft. We are looking forward to the next year’s edition.
