17 March 2014
On 17 March, the Uruguayan Air Force (FAU) held its annual air parade over the FAU-Headquarters at Base Aérea Boiso |
Lanza in Montevideo. As Boiso Lanza has only a short grass strip, most aircraft took off from Montevideo-Carrasco, |
except for four CeU206Hs flying from their home base Angel S. Adami (Melilla) and four F260EUs from the military aviation |
school at General Artigas (Pando), both near Montevideo as well. The parade occurred around noon and a total |
of 32 aircraft participated. After the event, the aircraft from Durazno returned directly to their home base. Small as it is, |
the FAU uses its own type designation system. |
