Re: Martinsburg WV ANG MRB 10/29/24
The hex is mismatched. It shows everywhere as AH-64 with the number you provided above. Imagine my disappointment when both FR24 and adsbx were showing Army Apache coming in, only to see UH-60 landing... Anyway, it was my first Wheeling bird, so not all was lost.

Re: Martinsburg WV ANG MRB 10/29/24
Thanks! Corrected. This H60 was hard to ID. Scramble has it as deployed to Iraq and FY unconfirmed. Joe Baugher's site has it as 18- but I can't find any other info on this bird anywhere else.

Martinsburg WV ANG MRB 10/29/24
Hi Guys, Haven't been to MRB in at least 6 months, so it was overdue. Navy P-8 and OH ANG UH-60 were my highlights. Boeing Saab 340 still in Silver colors and not converted to electric yet. Also first time photographing/seeing Sonex aircraft in person. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54109820119...

JRA West 30th St Heliport Manhattan NYC 9/11/24
Hi All, I had a chance to roam around west Manhattan for couple of hours and decided to pay a visit to this heliport. Really nice spots for photography and very busy place. You can shoot from outside the fence in the park or like I did, from the restaurant on the pier next to the heliport. I had onl...

If you can, visit that place on Kid's Day in January. RTAF is doing 'air show' on that day every year and you can get really nice stuff.
It is on my bucket list, but it's hard to take vacations in January

2024 NATO Summit visitors Washington Dulles July 2024
Hi, Last week we had a NATO summit in Washington DC. Got few nice visitors. The arrivals were split ADW/IAD or ADW and repo to IAD. Some of my catches. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53851956306_a5bbfe2fdb_b.jpg https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53851887938_49ae791c1f_b.jpg https://live.stati...

Washington Dulles IAD - June 2024 Civ/Mil
HI All, Historically month of June is the slowest time at Dulles airport. This somehow changed this year and we've got our fair share of unique airplanes visiting our airport. Honeywell was working out of IAD for 3 days so we had plenty of time to catch their 757 and E170 + their bizjets. Abu Dhabi ...

Re: Royal Thai Air Force Bangkok National Aviation Museum DMK May 2024
The c/n doesn't come from Planebase nor from any other websites. The data with c/n 20 comes from the manufacturer's information.
So yes, the plate is most likely wrong.

Re: Royal Thai Air Force Bangkok National Aviation Museum DMK May 2024
Also from Steve Ozel's Thai Aviation page you can see the same note regarding this aircraft. CT/4A RR.020 / ‘20’ / ‘60442’ F.16-020/18 ZK-DTT (020) / 021* mfg 05Sep74 (also reported by NZAI as ff date); dd 02Nov74; transferred from FTS to 604 Sqdn early 2003 (f/n Mar03); code ‘60442’ (Dec08 thro’ Au...

Re: Royal Thai Air Force Bangkok National Aviation Museum DMK May 2024
Don't always believe everything you read on the internet. If you have the opportunity, check the c/n plates by yourself. F.16-020/18 clearly has the c/n 021 Actually I've got the cn from Planebase. There is actually a remark stating that the plate reads 021 which is incorrect, and that the correct ...

They close the museum for public and religious holidays. I actually planned on going there on May 1st but then found out it was Labor Day so I've waited one day to visit.

Royal Thai Air Force Bangkok National Aviation Museum DMK May 2024
Hi, While in Bangkok, I had to revisit RTAF museum by Don Mueang airport. Last time I was there around 2015, and since then they've added 52 new airplanes. I've photographed almost everything (missed couple of helicopters and smaller trainers). My highlight and main motivation for the visit was rece...
