ZR288 is still with Leonardo, the aircraft was flown over from Yeovil to Poland to attend the fly-past and Radom. It went back to the UK on tuesday the 29th of august.

I think your right. Thing is that rebuild/reuse is (a bit) cheaper then fully new builds. Also I think it's a political thing. The old Fs where only 6 or 7 years old so updating sounds better then replacing. Eg. the AH!-64E are political sold as update of the D frames. But you could also say they a...
