Re: Göteborg Aero Show, Sweden 28-29 August 2010

Unsurprisingly the Viggen disappeared from participants list only two weeks before airshow. True, it's no surprise. There has been a stated questionmark for a flying appearance by the Viggen all along. Closer to the event, some of the planned participants can go from plausible to unlikely - nothing...

Göteborg Aero Show, Sweden 28-29 August 2010

This year the Göteborg Aero Show celebrate the 100th anniversary of Swedish Aviation. If everything turns out well, we expect to see the full range of Saab jet fighters in the air: Tunnan, Lansen, Draken, Viggen and Gripen - as well as Team 60 (fingers crossed), Hercules, C-17, choppers etc. from th...

Re: REQ: photo material of Spyker Aircraft

To clearify - today's Saab aircraft company only shares the brand name with the Saab car company. There will be no Spyker Gripen... Well, Daniel, that's not entirely true. SAAB started out in 1937 as a purely aircraft company, producing planes for the Swedish Air Force. It wasn't till 1944 t...

Re: REQ: photo material of Spyker Aircraft

Thanks Stratofreighter for the link to the Dutch wiki. A bit funny that they used Swedish engines! (though you may argue that the Thulins were a French design...) 8) To clearify - today's Saab aircraft company only shares the brand name with the Saab car company. What specific aircraft types were built by Spyker?

Thanks from Sweden.

Re: Göteborg Aero Show 2009, August 29-30

Sorry to inform that the Draken is still grounded.

It has been a close call for Team 60 as well, but now it is decided that they will perform at the show (their only display this year and the first one for many years!)

Hope to see you in Go:teborg!

Hej Rune, This year the focus is on national Swedish participants. The only exception is Dakota Norway – but that’s just barely abroad

The participant’s list is almost complete now, see: http://www.aeroseum.se

Göteborg Aero Show is the primary airshow of the Swedish Air Force in 2008.
