Nice shots! Maybe if you use the function, Save for the web, you can upload them in normal JPEG format. I had the same problem because no browser supported the color profiles, however, by using the function Save for the web, the photos maintained their correct colors!

I would say go for the 70-300 IS, if you mean the L version. In my opinion, the 70-300 L gives more sharpness and less aberrations. The more glass there's in a lens, the less sharper it gets.
