Wittmund 2021

Hello Members,
can anyone tell me how is it photographing by Wittmund??

I hear from someone that Wittmund makes a double fence so that can no more photographing on the runway, only in the landing..
Let me know.

Ps: I know also that Wittmund is closed for 2 years..

You can still photograph from the south side of the airfield, but only on the eastern side (opposite of the tower and further to the beginning of runway 26). Near the displaced threshold runway 08 there is indeed a double fence, but you can still make landingshots from there. Wittmund will be closed from 2022 till 2024 and the EF-2000's from TLwG-71 will move to Laage for that period.

But If I come to Wittmund I have a ladder ( 6spots) for photographing over the fence to take pictures when they stand on (or rolling)the runway.
But with a double fence, I don,t know if I possible to take it.

Does somebody know if there will be normal flying this week or nightflights, especially at Thursday at Wittmund?

Maybe to ask the obvious, but how about flying on a Friday? Only a morning mission, nothing to be expected in the afternoon I presume? I will pass Wittmund on the way home (if I make a litle detour that is...).

The first Eurofighters will depart around 12.01. to Laage because of the beginning heavy WIP at the base. They should depart as one-ship or in pairs until the end of January 2022 when the QRA will go to Laage.
