Re: ETAD F-22 deployment(s) 2022
Thanks for sharing the article. Why is it posted under the Spangdahlem topic? The base is not explicitly mentioned as FOL for the F-22s. In fact, after going through the article a 2nd time, it seems Lakenheath is more likely, since the General is mentioning the deployment in the context of building up 2 5th generation fighter squadrons there.
Anyway, let's see what happens, interesting it is!

Re: ETAD F-22 deployment(s) 2022
Spangdahlem is indeed not explicitly mentioned, but the general speaks of what the F-35s @SP will be succeeded by when they leave. There were other rumours too, of them going there, from what I understand.
Meanwhile, the word is: expected arrival at Lakenheath on Tuesday 26 July, continuing to Spang two days later. Should be staying for 3 to 4 months. I don't have the source for this though.

Re: ETAD F-22 deployment(s) 2022
It seems my somewhat cynical message is deleted. But as Trabanti says no mentioning of base and exact time. (Coming month doesn't mean next week)
A General mentioning the (logical) switch of one 5th generation fighter with another in the coming month. Most operational deployment switch after 5 to 6 months. And with in minutes on all kind of forums the great speculation begins. And with in hours ideas, rumors, suggestions and calculations become fact.

Don't want to sound impolite but what is tactical reason for 2 days at LN. Other deployments haven't done that. Also part of the great rumor build up.Key wrote: ↑21 Jul 2022, 11:13 Spangdahlem is indeed not explicitly mentioned, but the general speaks of what the F-35s @SP will be succeeded by when they leave. True, but the cynicism already multiplied, so I archived those posts. Let's w8&c, all useful info and thoughts (like yours just now) are welcome of course.
Thanks,

More info was received, see this topic please.
This would mean the start of a Raptor deployment to SP could be around 12 August or so.
