As Joost explained here, hexcodes tend to be changed every few weeks with German mil. It's therefore probably more accurate to say that they were pinging a code previously assigned to that Tor.

Time to check out the Tornados at Nörvenich. The weather could be a little better but happy to get 6 Tornados, 6 Eurofighters and esp. with the 1 Aces AlphaJet for the morning round!

What about the flights restrictions due to suspected malfunction of the Tornado & Eurofighter ejection seats? Is the problem now solved?
How does this affect the Nörvenich flight operations ?

Tornados and Typhoons have resumed flying operations at Nörvenich. Still somewhat limited, but they’re flying both

When the afternoon wave started, it turned out the runway in use was changed to direction 07. The Tornados only flew in the afternoon. The visiting helicopters made one or more low approaches, auto rotations, and the likes.
